GHG emissions
anthropogenic emissions of gases (carbon dioxide (CO2), methane (CH4), nitrous oxide (N 2 O), hydrofluorocarbons (HFCs), perfluorocarbons (PFCs), sulfur hexafluoride (SF 6) into the atmosphere from the emission source.
Greenhouse gases (GHGs)
gases released by anthropogenic activity that are responsible for climate change and global warming. The six gases listed in Annex A of the Kyoto Protocol are carbon dioxide (CO2), methane (CH4), and nitrous oxide (N20), as well as hydrofluorocarbons (HFCs), perfluorocarbons (PFCs), and sulfur hexafluoride (SF6).
